The Beulah Challenge, which started in 1996, is a 5K, 10K, and half-marathon run near Beulah, a small southern Colorado community located in the spectacular Beulah Valley nestled in the Wet Mountains. The 5K and 10K courses take you around the scenic gravel and paved roads of Beulah. The half-marathon course runs through the Beulah Valley and the iconic Pueblo Mountain Park on hiking trails. Run the Beulah Challenge and enjoy fresh mountain air in this beautiful historic area! Runners 17 years old and younger may register for the 5K or 10K at the discounted price of $15. The race is permitted through the town of Beulah and we use officers from the Sate of Colorado Police Department to monitor traffic along Pine Lane (highway 78) to keep the runners safe. This is a pace of 16:00 minutes per mile for the half marathon. For your own safety, we strongly discourage you from participating in this event if you cannot maintain a pace of 16:00 minutes per mile as all course support shuts down based on this pace. If participants choose to continue running after the time limit, they do so at their own risk and, while on any roadway, will move to the left side facing oncoming traffic and obey all traffic laws along the course. Brookings, South Dakota (United States of America) - "Jack 15 Road Race". Be part of the history of Jack 15. For 61 years, runners have been making an annual trek from White, S.D., to Brookings, S.D., making it the oldest road race in the Midwest. The 62nd running of the 15.2-mile course from Hooker and Main in White to the Campanile in Brookings via county roads is Sept. 21. Prize money is offered for the top three male and female placers — $200 for first, $100 for second and $50 for third. All entries will receive a long-sleeve, moisture-wicking T-shirt and all finishers of the 15.2-mile run will receive a medal. Hampton Foundation and Pi Lambda Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated present the 7th Annual Gene Montague Memorial 5K on Saturday, September 21, from 8:30am to 11am at Merchant Park in Dumfries, VA. The Gene Montague 5K is an annual fun run-walk to commemorate the life of Colonel Eugene "Gene" Montague, who was a member of Pi Lambda Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. Gene Montague was born in Brooklyn, NY. He was a retired New York City Police Officer and rose to the rank of Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve. Gene passed away on May 22, 2016 in the excitement of doing what he loved to do - staying fit while participating in competitive physical activity, namely, an Ironman competition. This year, proceeds from the Gene Montague Memorial 5K will go toward 2025 scholarships for graduating high school students here in Prince William County. NEW for 2024 four mile (one loop) Trail Run as well as a 2 mile non-competitive Fun Run or Walk. The course consist of a 4 mile loop through Tryon Farm. This event benefits the Tryon Farm Institute. For the 8 miler (2 loops), 25k (4 loops) and 50k (8 loops). 50k start at 8:00am CST. 2 mile, 4 miler, 8 miler and 25k all begin at 9:00am CST. Course is a mixture of open grassy fields, single track dirt trails a very small sections of pavement to get you to another parts of the trail system. Due to no parking available at the start/finish area you will be parking across the street at Niemann Elementary School, 811 Royal Rd, Michigan City, IN 46360 then walking over. Main station is at the start/finish line area. There will be water/Gatorade non-manned aid station near the 1.5 mile mark of the course.
